Harvest Moon Island Of Happines

Mark

Mark travels to the island with an interest in farming. He wants to learn how to be a good farmer, and likes to observe you tackle your own farming challenges.

Since he does not have a residence on the island, Mark has to live at the Island Hotel in E.Town. You will find him there at all times in the middle-back room.

Mark does not have a rival. He will always be available for marriage if you play as Chelsea.

Birthday: Winter 27

Moves in: Unlock all of the areas by building the 3 bridges, unlock all of the main villagers with the exception of the Mineral Town characters, vist all areas (have the 7 Harvest Sprites unlocked), and have the Hotel in E.Town expanded.

Moves out: Ignore for 30 days

Gifts

Mark likes anything you can give him, including flowers, food, fish, and even weeds. There isn't anything he does not like. Each gift is at a Really Likes value of 300 Friend Points.

You show Mark how to use a hoe, then hand it over to him so he can take a closer look. It really is a good hoe and he gives the tool a swing. You nod your head in approval, which makes Mark happy. He then hands the hoe back over, thanks you, and then leaves.

Mark will be glad to see you. He thinks you're great and is happy that he was able to meet someone who is busy working alone on a farm, especially since it's all being done by a girl! Mark then gets the idea to have a contest of strength but there needs to be something heavy to use.

Now that the match has been decided, you and Mark head off to the Meadow area. Gannon has heard about the contest and set up some boulders to be used. You two will push the large rocks. As Mark gets behind his rock, Gannon lets you know that he expects Mark to win, but he'll try to help you out. You take your place and Gannon starts the contest.

Whoa, your boulder went flying! You surprised both Gannon and Mark with your amazing strength. Gannon reminds Mark that you did say you would win, but Mark is very upset at his loss. Gannon suggests that you might have over done it.

Accepting his offer makes Mark happy, and so you proceed to tell him a story about a sinking ship and how 5 people made it to the abandoned island. Mark thinks it is an interesting tale, but you tell him that this island is the one in the story! You were the one of the 5 people that helped and now you're the ranch master. Mark is astonished by your story and thanks you for telling it.

The weather at the Beach is quite pleasant, and Mark challenges you to a foot race. The first one to the boulder will be the winner, and the two of you take off running. The race ended at a tie and Mark didn't realize how fast you could run. He was expecting to win, but you aren't half bad.

Yellow Heart Event #4

Bad Timing

The Witch Princess will come for a visit, and explains she has discovered an amazing incantation. She casts her spell before you get a chance to deny her request. After casting, Witch explains that it is a good spell; it will temporarily make you strong!

You're not angry anyway, so you shake your head when she asks if you're angry. That's not the response Witch was expecting, and it is soon discovered that the spell has caused you to be silent! Witch runs off to find a solution, right as Mark comes in.

Mark asks if something is wrong, but all you can do is shake your head no. He wants to know if you want to chat for a little bit, and starts asking you about watering crops. You can't talk though! Mark wonders if he said something wrong and assumes you just don't want to talk to him. He sadly leaves right before Witch returns.

The magical spell she casts fixes your speech problem, but she doesn't understand why you would be angry with her.

Inside the house, Mark explains to Taro that you seem to be very tired so he would like to help you. Unfortunately he doesn't want to be a hindrance to your work, so he is hoping Taro can teach him various things. Taro is impressed with Mark's attitude and agrees to show him a thing or two.

Taro leaves Mark to fetch some things, notices that you've come in, and tells you to watch as well. Taro returns with a textbook, and gives it to Mark with the explanation that he used it when he was young.

Basically Taro tells Mark to read a book. You exit the house unnoticed.

Vaughn

A livestock dealer, Vaughn travels to the island in order to supply Mirabelle with animals for her shop. He only appears inside her shop on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and hardly ever socializes with the other residents. Vaughn prefers to keep to himself and his business.

Since he only stays on the island 2 days out of the week, Vaughn will take a little longer to court than the other boys. If you do marry him, Vaughn will permanently live on the island. He leaves on Wednesdays but always returns Thursday morning.

Denny asks you what's up, and Vaughn asks just finally admits that he lost something and to leave him alone. Denny doesn't understand and walks away.

Vaughn will greet you as you walk down the path. As you get closer, you are confronted with a pack of wild dogs! Vaughn tells you not to worry, as they are not dangerous and the dogs won't attack. They were hungry so he has brought them a little bit of food, and has become close to them.

The dogs are impossible for him to take care of, so if they're caught then they'll be sold! Hm, what to do?

Oh, today's work is done so it can't be help if you should want to play with the dogs. Vaughn smiles.

Eventually the pack of dogs leave, and Vaughn remorses how he's always moving around so it has been a long time since he did something like that. It's good to get some excersise once in a while.

Vaughn is inside the Diner, and he asks Julia why she wanted him to come. Julia says it was her mom's request, and she wanted to know if Vaughn really disliked carrots. They are really delicious, but Vaughn doesn't seem to show any interest in the orange vegetable. She continues to try and convince him that he needs to eat them for his health, but Vaughn argues that he is free to eat whatever he chooses to.

Julia finally asks if you think it's bad for him not to eat carrots.

Oh, yes she remembers now. Suddenly Julia changes her mind, and says it's not necessary for him to eat the carrots. She's going to report back to her mom. After she leaves, Vaughn thanks you for the assitance.

As you walk into the Beach you'll notice Vaughn and Denny talking by the shoreline. They are talking about how both of them have lost their parents. Vaughn can't even remember what his parents looked like. There seems to be some interesting people on this island though, and Denny gladly agrees with him. Although, Vaughn does not see many with the same skin color as Denny.

Denny's reaction is unexpected, so Vaughn apologizes for his comment. Denny tells him not to worry about it. As you walk up to the pair, Denny is distressed that you might have been eavesdropping on their conversation. Vaughn quickly leaves.

Denny is concerned about Vaughn's loneliness.

Walk into the shop and you'll find Mirabelle and Julia stressing over a recently arrived sick sheep. Julia requests that you go and find Vaughn for them. Mirabelle doesn't seem to understand the cause of the sheep's illness, so maybe Vaughn might know. You quickly run out to find him.

You'll find Vaughn out on the beach, and persuade him to return to the animal shop.

Vaughn looks at the sheep and determines that it's nothing to worry about; the sheep is just seasick. Unlike the others that traveled by boat, this sheep is docile and the boat ride has weakened it.

Julia is amazed that Vaughn can tell the difference between each sheep. Mirabelle wouldn't of know what to do if he wasn't around. Vaughn is a little taken back by their gratitude, and even you agree with what the two women are saying. Vaughn is really happy.

Inside her house, Sabrina is very happy to be feeling better. She politely thanks him, but he seems more annoyed with the fact that she keeps trying to show her gratitude.

Elliot

Elliot and his family washed up on the island the same day that you arrived. He helps his mom and grandfather take care of the island's exports. Elliot has determination and tries to act responsible, but the constant belittling from his younger sister, Natalie, has really damanged his self esteem.

Elliot chuckles and accepts your kind offer. Taro enters the house and asks if the preparations are set. Elliot replies that they're ready to go, and explains to you that a ship will be arriving, so he has to prepare the crates for loading. You all head out to the beach.

After the work has been completed, Elliot commented on how there's always a lot of crates and thanks you for your effort. Sneaky Taro pops up again and thank the two of you for the help. He has to finish up with the shipment and suggests you two head back. Elliot thanks you again for your assistance

Elliot asks if you're finished with your work today, which you are. Elliot begins to talk about his sister and says even though he is older, she doesn't respect him at all. Elliot feels that Natalie picks on him more than anyone else.

His little sister walks in and hears him tell you that she's really mean, and wishes that his sister was more like you. He doesn't notice that Natalie is standing behind him until she asks why you two were talking about her! Elliot blurts out that you were only talking about work.

Julie lets her know that it was tough collecting everything up but thanks to Elliot, they noticed their inventory was low and were able to contact their supplier. Natalie wonders if the day when her brother's blunders were actually of some use has arrived, but thinks the situation might of been because of the earthquake that occurred the other day.

Elliot gives a glare to his sister, but Julia just giggles and thanks Elliot anyway.

His proposal was quite sudden and she didn't understand it, but now she does. Julia doesn't dislike Elliot at all! The two of them are very happy.

Shea

In the northern Jungle land of the island lives two native hunters. Shea and his fellow wild-man, Wada, live in a hut that protects a giant tower. Shea is aware of the delicate balance between hunting for food and being wasteful, and he will try to explain it to you over and over.

Since he has lived for a long time without any outside contact, his speaks in short, broken sentences.

Shea's heart color is invisible.

You can visit Shea after you have hired Gannon to build the last bridge on the island. Shea does not have any marriage rivals.

They are greatful for the fish so they eat everything, but they only take what's necessary. That's what is most important. Shea asks if you understand.

He tells the story of an old tribe that couldn't hunt anything at all. They couldn't even find grass or mushrooms to eat, and they were all hungry.

One day the tower fell from the sky, food appeared around the tower, and the tribe became well. The building was highly valued by the tribe and they would not permit anyone to enter it.　Shea asks what you think of the story.

Walk to the northern island and you'll find Shea ranting how Wada is strong, but Shea is the strongest. Yesturday he got a good hunt all by himself, and that makes him the strongest! Shea asks if you know of a strong guy. He requests that you bring him so he can proove which one is stronger.

You return with Gannon, the muscular carpenter. Shea tells the both of you that he's strong and he'll win. Gannon's not sure what Shea wants, but soon finds out when Shea starts to fight him.

Shea soon finds himself tossed onto the ground. Gannon scolds him, tells him he doesn't have the time for this, and then leaves. Shea's disappointed that he lost and he feels pretty miserable.

Shea's confidence has crashed, and he doesn't feel like the strongest person around. He slowely heads back to his house.

Witch predicts that it was a very elegant person, which makes Shea quite happy. Wada must have met this person, so he heads back home after thanking you and the Witch Princess.

After he leaves, Witch wonders if she set him out in the right direction. She says what she saw in her vision was unexpected.

The two of you finally reach your house. Shea is surprised to see how your house is larger than Wada's. Now that he's dropped you off he's going to return home.

Denny

This fisherman has traveled to the island with his bird, Kuu, in search of large fish. Denny keeps to the fisherman's code and spends every day out on the ocean trying to catch the big one.

Well now you seem gloomy, so he apologizes for his depressing story.

Denny thinks fish is even delicious when baked, and he plans to bring some fish by later. Denny has much success catching fish thanks to the fish bait that Chen stocks in his shop. At that point Chen notices that you've been listening the whole time.

He only caught trash? The silence between the two of you is awkward, until Denny requests that you don't tell anyone. It would be uncool if they heard that all he caught was an old rubber boot. You agree not to say anything, but Denny is still very embarrassed and walks away.

Denny is standing outside his fishing shack, and explain his crumbling little shack got a little more damaged from the previous day's storm. If he doesn't fix the leaky roof then the whole thing might collapse. Fishermen aren't very good at house repairs!

The real repairman, Gannon, finally shows up and asks about your house before he gets to work on Denny's. Your house is just fine, so you volunteer to help with the repairs to Denny's little purple shack. Denny is grateful for your assistance and the three of you get to work.

The temporary repairs you make will hold up for now until Gannon can get the replacement parts. Denny thanks the both of you, but your help has made him especially happy.

He's only a fisherman, but Denny think that she looks great. Anyone who says she's too old must be crazy. He'd be more than willing to go to one of her concerts. Lanna just arrived to the island and already she has a fan! The former celebrity gives Denny her autograph and he says he'll display it in his house.

Lanna is grateful, but as Denny takes a better and isn't confident that it can be repaired. It's a shame too, since it looks to be a great pole.

Lanna insists that it is fixable, because normally she fixes it herself. It looks like she is annoyed! Denny says he was just teasing, but her face looks so cute. Lanna cheers up while he fixes her fishing pole. It looks to be in good shape now, but Denny makes an innocent remark about her fishing skills that gets her annoyed again.

Denny argues that he wasn't told where to meet up, but Lanna insists that she told him to go to the water well. Denny says he went to the well! Lanna says that he didn't, and he can even ask the Diner manager.

The well in front of the Diner? Denny figured since they were going to go fishing at the beach, that they would meet at the well next to Chen's shop. It looks like they had two different ideas as to where they were going to meet up. They apologize to each other and to you for getting stuck in the middle of their argument.

It look like Denny doesn't believe her fish story and now she's annoyed at him again. Denny explain that he wanted to fish with her so he can see her catch one. Lanna expects to surprise him when she gets a large fish, but Denny seems to already be amazed. Lanna laughs and leaves the beach.

After she leaves, Denny makes a silent wish to the fishing god for some courage.

Pierre

This small-stature, cooking enthusiast travels to the island in search of rare and exotic cooking ingredients. Part of his gourmet man training is to locate such things, so he spend a lot of time outdoors looking around.

Pierre's house is full of cooking utensils and ingredients. You can't learn any cooking recipes from him, although he considers himself a human cookbook.

Walk into the Beach and you'll find Pierre down at the coastline. He's counting the waves that are coming in from the ocean. Pierre explains that it is one of the training methods used for apprentice gourmets. Even climbing cliff using only ones bare hands helps to increase power when wielding a knife. He also has to cram his mouth with food, while blindfolded, to train his sense of taste. Pierre also has to order everything from a restaurant he's visited for the first time!

Of course, it's common sense for those who are apprentice gourmets! You can help him with training, because he needs to see good and bad ingredients in order to train his eyesight. Pierre goes back to counting waves while you quietly sneak away.

Inside of the Diner you'll find Lanna and Denny having a disagreement. Lanna is insisting that something is really in there, and Denny thinks that might be unnatural and that can't be what it is. Their conversation seems rather vague and confusing. Lanna notices you've come into the Diner and sweetly tells you she has a request.

Meanwhile, Denny has gone over to Pierre, who has been sitting at his table all by himself. The two of them start to talk about Pierre's search for ingredients. While Pierre is distracted, you and Lanna sneak up behind Pierre but the gourmet senses that the two of you are up to something. What are you doing?!

Pierre asks Lanna what she is trying to do with his hat. Lanna demands to know what he is hiding under it! Pierre isn't hiding anything under it, and he asks Denny not to make fun of his hat. It's certified gourmet! Lanna still demands to see what is under the purple hat. Pierre pleads for your help.

You push Lanna away from Pierre, which may irritate her but Pierre is very grateful. Lanna announces that she will not give up her quest to see what is under his hat.

He's calling for the apprentice, Pierre. You apparently have the only telephone on the island so you put down the phone receiver, run over to Pierre's house, grab him, and rush back to your house so he can talk to the boss Gourmet.

You can't hear their conversation, but it sound like Gourmet is going to give Pierre his final test. After he hang up, Pierre is ecstatic that he received a call from the famous Gourmet. The reason he came to the island was for the final examination, and to discover new tastes in the savage land. Confirming a new taste is what is final exam is about.

There are so many wild items growing on the island that it would be a shame to overlook them. Natalie likes his enthusiasm and asks what has he found today. Pierre glady shows off the mushroom he's found, but it turns out Natalie does not like mushrooms at all! She demands that he can not bring them anywhere near her. Pierre is disappointed since once its been cooked, mushrooms are rather delicious.

Natalie explains that she once ate a poisonous mushroom. She's been trying to forget how painful that time was and doesn't want to see any mushrooms. Pierre gets an idea to make a mushroom dish that even Natalie will eat, even though she's convinced she won't eat it anyway. Pierre scolds her for saying such things, as you lose out on a whole world of flavors by not eating mushrooms.

Before she can do so, something on the counter has caught her eye and she walks over to investigate.

Pierre seems to already have plenty of ingredients, even though he ordered a bunch more! Oh no that's not it; those ingredients aren't good anymore so he can't use them. He asks Natalie to throw them away for him, but it bothers her that just because they're not going to be used they should be tossed. He used them before after all! They were good in his cooking, and she is dissappointed. Natalie leaves.

Elliot comes in once his sister walks out and asks Pierre what happened. Poor Pierre...

Pierre is outside Taro's house greeting Natalie. She asks if he's searching for ingredients today. Yes he is, as he was out with Danny's Fishary to get a fish. Natalie asks him what kind and Pierre tells her that he's getting a Shark! Why!?

Pierre explains that a Shark is one of the highest-graded ingredients. Natalie objects, as it is dangerous and Danny's boat isn't big enough. Pierre tells her not to worry. Danny's method to catch Sharks is only a little bit dangerous. They did find one, but he sheepishly mentions they were unable to capture it. Guess she can't judge by appearances...

Is she saying Pierre is childish?! Natalie laughs and tells him not to get angry and she does admire him. Pierre's tone lightens up. He has a long ways to go to become a gourmet.

Pierre seems to be quite happy and she wonders if he misunderstood her request. It looks like he is leaving so she asks where he is going. To his kitchen of course! If he is going to teach her how to cook then he must clean his kitchen! She wasn't expecting this immediatly but she wants to help him do the dishes. The two of them set out to clean together.

Chelsea

Chelsea is a new farmer who has come to the island to learn the ways of agriculture and ranching. She spends a lot of time inside of the Inn, studying on how to be a farmer.

If you play as the boy main character (Mark), Chelsea will be eligable for marriage.

Chelsea reminds him that she's doing this on her own. Felicia thinks Chelsea is being nice, and suggests that they all eat.

Julia

Julia and her mother, Mirabelle, will arrive on the island around the 12th of Spring in your first year. The two ladies will set up the animal shop where you can purchase sheep, cows, chickens, and various other animal merchandise. Julia has a fondness for animals and will go out of her way to locate any creatures in distress.

As helpful as she is with animals, Julia is poorly skilled at cooking. Mirabelle is always hesitant to eat her meals. She also has a high dislike for cruelty against fish, including any fish you may have caught or any cooked dish you make with them. That doesn't mean that you can't fish though; just don't show the fish to Julia.

Mirabelle chuckles at her daughter's youthful ideas, and tell her that too much sleep will destroy a balanced body. It can be counter-productive to sleep so much. Julia understands and says she'll stop going to be so early.

Julia doesn't leave though, and the accompanying silence is awkward. She playfully wonders if you have noticed anything and blushes, but you just continue to stand there trying to figure out what she wants. Eventually she figures you haven't noticed and walks away disappointed.

Julia is surprised and asks you to repeat what you said. Oop, maybe the correct answer was to mention that she let her hair grow out. Tell her that instead and she will be very happy that you finally has noticed what she was trying to hint at the last time you met. Although you are quite slow to notice, especially since you just asked her if she had her hair cut just a moment ago!

Do you really mean what you have said? Of course you have, which makes her happy. Julia invites you to have some tea with her and the two of you leave.

Julie lets her know that it was tough collecting everything up but thanks to Elliot, they noticed their inventory was low and were able to contact their supplier. Natalie wonders if the day when her brother's blunders were actually of some use has arrived, but thinks the situation might of been because of the earthquake that occurred the other day.

Elliot gives a glare to his sister, but Julia just giggles and thanks Elliot anyway.

Sabrina

The only daughter of the millionare Regis, Sabrina is quiet girl who likes to paint. She helps her dad with his mining business by taking care of the bookkeepping. When she is not busy working, she looks around the island for new artistic inspiration.

Sabrina is very shy, and spends most of her time inside of the mansion. When the weather is clear you'll find her at the beach for a few hours.

Natalie

You'll see Natalie greeting the gourmet, and asks if he's looking for ingredients. Of course he's searching! There are so many wild items growing on the island that it would be a shame to overlook them. Natalie likes his enthusiasm and asks what has he found today. Pierre glady shows off the mushroom he's found, but it turns out Natalie does not like mushrooms at all! She demands that he can not bring them anywhere near her. Pierre is disappointed since once its been cooked, mushrooms are rather delicious.

Natalie explains that she once ate a poisonous mushroom. She's been trying to forget how painful that time was and doesn't want to see any mushrooms. Pierre gets an idea to make a mushroom dish that even Natalie will eat, even though she's convinced she won't eat it anyway. Pierre scolds her for saying such things, as you lose out on a whole world of flavors by not eating mushrooms.

Pierre seems to already have plenty of ingredients, even though he ordered a bunch more! Oh no that's not it; those ingredients aren't good anymore so he can't use them. He asks Natalie to throw them away for him, but it bothers her that just because they're not going to be used they should be tossed. He used them before after all! They were good in his cooking, and she is dissappointed. Natalie leaves.

Elliot comes in once his sister walks out and asks Pierre what happened. Poor Pierre...

Pierre explains that a Shark is one of the highest-graded ingredients. Natalie objects, as it is dangerous and Danny's boat isn't big enough. Pierre tells her not to worry. Danny's method to catch Sharks is only a little bit dangerous. They did find one, but he sheepishly mentions they were unable to capture it. Guess she can't judge by appearances...

Is she saying Pierre is childish?! Natalie laughs and tells him not to get angry and she does admire him. Pierre's tone lightens up. He has a long ways to go to become a gourmet.

Pierre seems to be quite happy and she wonders if he misunderstood her request. It looks like he is leaving so she asks where he is going. To his kitchen of course! If he is going to teach her how to cook then he must clean his kitchen! She wasn't expecting this immediatly but she wants to help him do the dishes. The two of them set out to clean together.

Witch Princess

The Witch Princess is the rival of the Harvest Goddess. The two women like to bicker back and forth, although nothing ever dangerous comes from it. Witch has a facination with teddy bears and her house is covered with the stuffed plushies. She lives by herself in a hut on the western side of the forest.

Witch's heart color is invisible.

This magical lady will not appear on the island until after you have built the bridge to the forest area. When you enter the forest the first time you'll trigger her introduction Black Heart Event.

Witch had a dream that night about the Goddess and she never got to see the end before she woke up. The Goddess is annoyed, so she asks for your opinion on the matter. Witch feels you shouldn't be involved because you weren't the one who called for her. The two of them bicker back and forth until they decide to battle. Goddess suggests that you decide who is right, and both woman feel you will pick the correct winner.

She forgot that a normal human can't see the grass, but you "found" it for her anyway. As she leaves, she wonders what is the real difference between a human and a witch.

You try to encourage her and cheer her up but then it seems a spell went off.

Oh! Witch realizes that she made a mistake and summoned a dwarven chimney sweep instead. It was so small that she couldn't see it, and so she thought her magic abilities were broken! She laughs and apologizes.

When she was a singing pop-star, Lanna felt she could never be herself. Sometimes she wants to go back to singing though.

Besides yourself, Elliot and Natalie also listen in to Lanna's little impromptu concert. Natalie calls her singing "unique", and Elliot tends to agree. Lanna takes their opinions as compliments and then asks what you thought.

Oh, well she thought she was doing fine, but Lanna guesses you mean that she can just be even better with a little bit of practice. After Lanna heads home to practice, Natalie mentions how the singer might end up a little less terrible if she trained hard. She couldn't get any worse!

Regis is making fun of Lanna, as he has never heard of a pop-star who likes to go fishing. Lanna is not happy at all, and drags you away.

Once she's out of sight of the mansion, Lanna mentions that Regis is not the first person who thinks that it is strange that an idol likes to fish. She use to have to lie about her hobby during interviews. She wonders if she is going to have to quit fishing if she wants to revive her career.

All of the other singers use to be really jealous of her clothes. Lanna even offers to make you a fabulous new outfit! She is interested in hearing something from you now, and the two of you get back to chatting and laughing.

The two of you go fishing down at the beach. You catch something, but once you reel it in the "big catch" turns out to be nothing more than a Rubber Boot. Lanna finds your fished-up junk hilarious.

You keep reeling in garbage until you are finished with fishing. Lanna had a good time with you.

The event ends back inside your Farm House.

It seems the two of you were witnesses to the end result of another Elliot vs. Natalie argument, where naturally Natalie was the victor. As the two siblings wander off, Lanna is reminded of her own little sister back in the city. When they're together people think that Lanna is actually the youngest. She doesn't understand why, since Lanna says she acts mature.

She does? You slowly step backwards when you realize that your response is not going over well with the pop-star. Lanna walks off angrily.

Lanna is happily fishing near the bridge to the Jungle when Eliza sneaks up behind her and startles her. Lanna is so surprised that she accidentally drops her fishing rod into the water! The girls can't do anything while they watch the pole float away.

You run down the river and catch up with the escaped fishing rod. You fetch the rod out of the water and return it to Lanna. She's very happy because it is the fishing pole that her little sister gave to her when Lanna first became a pop-star, and it's very important to her.

Eliza runs up and apologize to Lanna for scaring her. Lanna is okay, and doesn't want Eliza to be depressed about loosing the fishing rod.

Denny and Lanna are inside the diner having a meal. He's surprised to learn that she's the famous singing star. Lanna use to sing a lot more, but she is beginning to feel that she might be getting too old to be a pop star. Anyways, Lanna doesn't have as many fans as she use to.

He's only a fisherman, but Denny think that she looks great. Anyone who says she's too old must be crazy. He'd be more than willing to go to one of her concerts. Lanna just arrived to the island and already she has a fan! The former celebrity gives Denny her autograph and he says he'll display it in his house.

Denny is looking at the fishing equipment in Lanna's house and notices that one of her parts is broken. Not to worry though, fixing this fishing equipment is something he can do. Lanna is grateful, but as Denny takes a better and isn't confident that it can be repaired. It's a shame too, since it looks to be a great pole.

Lanna insists that it is fixable, because normally she fixes it herself. It looks like she is annoyed! Denny says he was just teasing, but her face looks so cute. Lanna cheers up while he fixes her fishing pole. It looks to be in good shape now, but Denny makes an innocent remark about her fishing skills that gets her annoyed again.

As you walk into the Diner, Lanna urgently wants to tell you a story. It seems that Denny was suppose to go fishing with Lanna but he skipped out on their meeting. Denny argues that he wasn't told where to meet up, but Lanna insists that she told him to go to the water well. Denny says he went to the well! Lanna says that he didn't, and he can even ask the Diner manager.

The well in front of the Diner? Denny figured since they were going to go fishing at the beach, that they would meet at the well next to Chen's shop. It looks like they had two different ideas as to where they were going to meet up. They apologize to each other and to you for getting stuck in the middle of their argument.

Denny notices that Lanna is at the beach at an odd time of day and asks if she's okay. She's better than okay, as she just caught her first large fish! Lanna wants to show it to him and Denny wants to see it.

It look like Denny doesn't believe her fish story and now she's annoyed at him again. Denny explain that he wanted to fish with her so he can see her catch one. Lanna expects to surprise him when she gets a large fish, but Denny seems to already be amazed. Lanna laughs and leaves the beach.

After she leaves, Denny makes a silent wish to the fishing god for some courage.
